At Willesley Scout Campsite, Ashby De La Zouch.
Over the weekend we shall be training participants in the use of the climbing tower and high zip wire on the Scout campsite at Willesley.
- You will be taught how to set up and conduct both climbing and abseiling on the climbing tower.
- You will be taught how to put people onto the zip wire properly and how to take them off at the bottom.
There will be no charge for this course.
It will start at 09.30 on the Saturday and run till about 16.00
Sunday will be the same.
You should bring a packed lunch with you on both days.
On the Climbing Tower
For a simple belay and set up permit, if you show that you are competent then you could get assessed for a permit during the weekend. For more advanced permits you may have to gain more experience with a permit holder before applying.
On the High Zip Wire
If you show that you are competent on the zip wire then you could get a local campsite permit over the weekend.
The only requirement to attend this course is that in return you give some of your future time to help on activity sessions at Willesley Scout Campsite.

Coffee and cakes will be available from 7pm with the meeting starting at 7.30pm.
Yvonne has offered to prepare any badge orders you may have ready for Tuesday for you if you drop her an email at the equipment department.

Autumn and Matthew, two 42nd Leicester (Glenfield) Scout Group Explorers, are fund raising for their trip to the World Scout Jamboree in America – 2019.

This lively workshop will explain how to use the 4 week challenge to entice and retain new adults within your section, and will cover some of the hints and tips to make sure you get results.
